Taiwan Otsuka is one of the overseas subsidiaries of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Japan. To enhance employees' understanding of Otsuka's corporate philosophy, history, expectations for employee development, and the goal of contributing to the people of the world, the general manager started planning the itinerary of this training from 2022.

Regardless of their seniority, 16 trainee candidates were selected from a total of about 300 employees at the head office and Zhongli factory. The training locations included the Otsu Skin Care Research Institute and Tokushima, the birthplace of Otsuka. The compact training itinerary also includes sightseeing tours of Kyoto's scenic spots and historic sites, such as Kinkakuji Temple, Amanohashidate, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, etc. As members of the Otsuka family, we were so lucky to receive kind and courteous hospitality, and was able to experience Otsuka's history and culture, making it an unforgettable memory.

During this training trip, colleagues spent time together from morning to night, looking after each other and ensuring everyone's safety and comfort. Everyone returned with a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. We believe that not only the participants were impressed, but sharing the information among employees and passing on the information learned to more colleagues can also enhance everyone's sense of identification with the company. Based on Otsuka's corporate philosophy "Otsuka-people creating new products for better health worldwide", we are willing to contribute to the company's sustainable development and fulfill our corporate social responsibilities.
