2025 Overseas Plenary Meeting in Fukuoka, Japan on July 8–11

Taiwan Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s Taipei Headquarters held its first-ever overseas plenary meeting from July 8 to 11,
embarking on a four-day, three-night journey to Fukuoka, Japan, under the leadership of the Chairman and General Manager.
This gathering aimed not only to deepen employees’ understanding of Taiwan Otsuka’s values and spirit,
but also to encourage everyone to step outside their familiar work environment.
By expanding their global perspective and engaging in cultural exchange,
colleagues were inspired to find new insights and ideas that could be applied to their daily work and lives.

Coinciding with Fukuoka’s renowned annual celebration, the Yamakasa Festival,
the welcome banquet on the first night featured a traditional Yamakasa performance
by the local Nakasu district troupe, specially invited by the General Manager.
The festive atmosphere filled the venue, and after the performance, the troupe enthusiastically engaged with attendees.
Everyone joined in a traditional hand-clapping dance, creating a joyful and unforgettable memory of the overseas plenary meeting.

The second day’s plenary meeting began with an opening address from the Chairman.
The General Manager followed with a keynote speech themed "Living in the Present (而今)",
echoing the company’s ongoing commitment to talent development.
He clearly outlined the future direction of the company and encouraged colleagues to embody the Otsuka DNA —
“Ryukan-godo (sweat and insight), Jissho (actual verification), Sozosei (creativity)” —
and the spirit of delegation with gratitude, continuing to cultivate talent and co-create the future.

The meeting also featured a presentation by the Senior Associate Director of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Division
on the growth trajectory for the first half of 2025 and plans for the second half.
A Senior Manager from the Marketing Department delivered a practical and engaging session
on the logic behind the brand evolution process.
The afternoon sessions focused on legal training, HR systems, and brand strategy,
with multiple leaders offering forward-looking insights and in-depth analysis that deeply inspired attendees.

On the third day, with heartfelt appreciation to the Fukuoka Branch for their warm hospitality and thoughtful planning,
the group visited the branch and participated in team-building activities around the city.
Through dynamic games and exploration challenges, colleagues bonded and communicated more closely,
while also experiencing Fukuoka’s cultural charm firsthand.
This overseas plenary meeting greatly deepened employees’ understanding of the company’s culture and core values.
As the first full-company overseas trip in our 50-year history,
it also reflected the company’s profound appreciation and high regard for its people.
