To cultivate future leaders with strategic vision
and strong people management skills,
this year’s Senior Leadership Program (SLP)
officially kicked off with an opening session on “Situational Leadership.”
Guided by the dynamic and engaging instructor, Musa,
participants explored diverse leadership approaches
and learned how to adapt their leadership styles
based on their team members’ levels of maturity and individual traits
to achieve more effective team management.
During the session, Musa introduced four typical employee scenarios:
those lacking both ability and willingness;
those who are willing but lack ability;
those with ability but low motivation;
and those who are both capable and motivated.
He illustrated how to apply corresponding leadership styles
—ranging from directive to participative, finally to delegative—
helping participants understand the importance of tailoring leadership
to the individual and the situation for greater flexibility and impact.
This course was not only an opportunity for knowledge acquisition
but also a starting point for self-reflection among managers.
By recognizing potential blind spots and areas for improvement in their leadership approach,
participants are now better equipped to lead with an open, inclusive mindset.
Moving forward, they will continue to embody a people-centered leadership philosophy
that emphasizes adaptive, individualized guidance.
