On the morning of October 15, 2024, Taiwan Otsuka Pharmaceutical held the
“AI and Work Efficiency Enhancement” course at Taipei office, inviting Mr. Lin Ting-Yu,
the AI Strategy Director of the Asia-Pacific Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association,
as the instructor. Nearly seventy colleagues from our Taipei office and the Zhongli factory attended,
learning together how to improve work efficiency through AI technology.

The course opened with remarks from CEO Matsuo, who highlighted the upcoming challenges in the
next 5 to 10 years, including a declining birthrate, aging population, and elevated GMP standards.
He emphasized the importance of establishing a comprehensive training system, fostering an altruistic spirit,
and promoting environmental beautification to ensure the company’s sustainable development.

During the course, the instructor provided in-depth explanations on optimizing large language model applications
through AI tools and command settings, demonstrating practical applications of AI across diverse scenarios.
Through this training, Taiwan Otsuka continues to enhance employee expertise, actively preparing for future
challenges and laying a strong foundation for sustainable corporate growth.
