ESG refers to the three core value of Environment, Society, and Governance, which have been gradually gaining widespread attention in recent years. The central purpose of ESG is to encourage enterprises to operate in a responsible and sustainable manner and to measure their performance in environmental protection, social responsibility, and sound governance. Through the practice of ESG, enterprises are propelled towards long-term sustainable development, creating societal value, and advancing the goals of global sustainable development. This, in turn, shapes the brand image and enhances the value and influence of the enterprise.

Based on ESG practices, Taiwan Otsuka introduced a paperless and electronic system, and carried out tree planting activity recently. In addition, a "Friendly Cleaning Day" event was held on September 25, 2023. Employees freely signed up to participate in the activity. Under the leadership of the general manager, a total of 39 employees participated, starting with cleaning the environment around the factory. This event will continue to be held from time to time to care for neighborhood and maintain a clean environment (the next event is scheduled for October 23, 2023).

Taiwan Otsuka assumes corporate social responsibility and hopes to use "being friendly and caring for the environment" as its starting point to give back to the society and enhance employee interaction, cooperation and enthusiasm.
