On the morning of Friday, January 10, 2025,
the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) under the Ministry of Health and Welfare held the
"Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Program Results and Infusion Manufacturers Recognition Ceremony."
The event recognized companies that have made significant contributions to
ensuring a stable pharmaceutical supply. The award ceremony took place in the TFDA conference room,
where CEO Matsuo accepted the certificate on behalf of the company.
The context of this recognition stems from a critical situation where Y F CHEMICAL,
a major infusion manufacturer, was prohibited from production due to
severe violations of PIC/S GMP standards since May 2024.
The suspension of Y F CHEMICAL’s production posed a potential risk of shortages in Taiwan.
In response,, the TFDA promptly implemented emergency measures to encourage local manufacturers to
increase production and to facilitate emergency imports from overseas. During this process,
Taiwan Otsuka Pharmaceutical not only actively increased its production but also
sought support from Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory (OPF) and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Vietnam (OPV).
Through an emergency project, the company ensured a stable supply of infusions for clinical use.
The TFDA highly commended Taiwan Otsuka Pharmaceutical's contributions and expressed gratitude for
the goodwill extended by the Otsuka Group during this crisis.
We extend our sincere appreciation to OPF Director Mr. Okada, Taiwan Otsuka Pharmaceutical Board Member
Mr. Nagaya, Mr. Baba, Ms. Mori, OPV President Mr. Miyauchi, Mr. Urashima,
and all those involved in offering assistance. Taiwan Otsuka Pharmaceutical remains committed to
being patient-centered and serving as the best partner for clinical healthcare,
striving even harder to contribute to society.
